嘉宾简介

Prof. dr. ir. Jules van Lier is the University Professor of Environmental/Wastewater Engineering and is also the Head in Sanitary Engineering. He received both his MSc and PhD from Wageningen University, The Netherlands, and is specialized in Anaerobic Treatment technology. He published over 170 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals and over 350 publications in conference proceedings and scientific books from 1988 onwards. His research interest comprises the development of cost-effective technologies for (waste)water treatment, recovering resources such as water, nutrients, biogas, elements from waste streams. Research projects are focused on closing water cycles in industries and sewage water recovery for irrigated agriculture. He promoted 11 and co-promoted 5 PhD students and is supervising 15 PhD students at this moment.

Prof. dr. ir. Jules van Lier是荷兰代尔夫特大学卫生工程系教授，同时担任联合国教科文组织-水教育研究所兼职教授。他从事厌氧处理技术研究与应用30余年, 曾担任厌氧生物技术鼻祖Lettinga教授基金会(LeAF)主任, 现任LeAF执行董事会会员及科学顾问。2001-2009年, 任“IWA厌氧消化专业委员会”主席。其所在实验室主要研究方向为废水/废物厌氧处理技术和能源/资源回收（如水、营养物质、沼气，元素等）技术与工程应用，是厌氧生物技术工程应用领域顶级专家。
